With over two decades of experience in the logging industry, Ross began his career at just 15, working at a dryland sort bundling logs. His desire to grow his skill set and gain hands-on experience led him to work for various companies, where he gained expertise in rigging, operating chainsaws, and additional dryland sorting.

By the age of 18, he had advanced to operating front-end loaders in dryland sorts, excelling in tasks such as gate sorting, working under helicopters, and loading and unloading trucks. His commitment and drive saw him mastering this role and developing a reputation for hard work and precision.

After eight years, Ross sought new challenges and transitioned into running hydraulic log loaders, first in sorting and eventually in the bush. Though it took time and persistence—along with a few early setbacks—he became highly skilled as an aggressive and efficient hoe chucker and log loader. His adaptability and relentless work ethic further solidified his expertise.

After a decade of loader operations, Ross was promoted to a supervisory role, where he successfully led teams and brought his depth of experience to the forefront of operations.

Outside of work, Ross enjoys exploring the East Coast of Vancouver Island by boat, off-roading in his side-by-side, and mountain biking. He values living life to the fullest and making the most of his time outdoors. He shares these passions with his life partner, and together they enjoy a close-knit, small social circle.
